"Cottages in Gagra" - a hotel where anyone can rent a room for themselves during the holiday period, but it is advisable to book it in advance, since the flow of tourists is very large, and there are few rooms, only six, and they all fit in one two-story building .
On the territory there are five small houses made of wood. They also have guest rooms.
The hotel has a separate outdoor dining area. There is also a separate grill where guests can cook meat or vegetables for themselves. In the courtyard there are many places to relax: benches, sun loungers and armchairs.
The rooms of the hotel and individual houses do not differ from each other in the degree of comfort. Each of them has a good air conditioner that regulates the air temperature in the room, there are TVs broadcasting several channels. There is a private shower room for each room, in which guests are provided with a standard set of bath accessories: towels, gel, soap, shampoo. The bathroom is also private.
There is a separate kitchen, which has a complete set of utensils necessary for cooking. It also has a refrigerator for food storage and an electric kettle.
In general, everything is arranged very well, comfort is provided for those who decide to come to rest in "Cottages in Gagra". Reviews, thanks to the attention to the guests, the complex gets good.
On the territory of the complex itself, of course, there are no entertainment and show programs, but they can be found very close, because the Cottages in Gagra complex is located within walking distance to all the entertainment places in the city.
One of the main favorite activities of tourists is excursions. In Gagra there is an opportunity to book an unforgettable jeep ride - a very exciting journey that will definitely not seem standard and monotonous! A big plus is that there is an exact address, and the location is on all maps, and there may be problems with this in Abkhazia), so when we arrived at the cottages early in the morning (6 a.m.), we assumed that we would be settled no earlier than 12 p.m., however, by calling call, we were politely greeted by the owner Alina and friendly dog Jessie. We were immediately given the key to the house, they gave us the password for wi-fi and the code for the gate. We were also pleasantly surprised by the fact that we were settled in the house, because we thought that we would be settled in the main building. The bungalow house is one room, which has everything you need and a bathroom. It was clean, the bed linen was ironed, 3 towels, the refrigerator freezes, the TV shows several channels, the air conditioner worked properly, the temperature in the house quickly became comfortable, all the plumbing worked properly, there were no problems with water. Separately, I would like to note an excellent deep well, the tap from which was next to us - the water is absolutely fresh, it was a pleasure to brush your teeth, wash and wash your face, you can even drink it (we have repeatedly seen how the owners themselves did it), which at the end of the trip helped us a lot when they did not have time to buy water in the store. During our entire week-long stay, the light was turned off a couple of times and for a short time (a construction site is underway nearby, where they themselves were fed directly from the pole), but in this case the owners have a powerful generator. Of the nuances identified during the stay, which are more related to wishes than to claims: yes, the signal from the router did not “finish off” well to our last house, if you sit on the street - everything is fine, inside the signal was weak, the owners know about it, planning to replace the router. The door to the bathroom has not yet been closed (only from the inside to the latch), but inside there is a ventilation hole through which insects can fly at night. We found a way out - we tied a bag on the handle and the door was tightly fixed in the closed position, but it is better to replace the handles so that we can slam the door without problems. We did not scatter food around the house, everything was in the refrigerator, no ants attacked us) It should be noted that the territory is very well-groomed, neat, with palm trees and other plants. Comfortable kitchen, "barbecue". It's nice to sit outside in the evening. The house was cleaned every 2 days, linen and towels were changed every 3 days - this is not even practiced in all 4-5 * hotels abroad, we were pleasantly surprised. We love animals, Jessie the Shepherd was a joy to us, many children played with her regularly :) Everything you need is nearby - 5 minutes to the beach, 1 minute to the nearest dining room, near the market, shops, pharmacy you'll be lost. We went positively, albeit frightened by negative reviews about the country on the Internet, so we managed to relax and we were pleasantly surprised by many. I tried to describe this accommodation option as objectively as possible, I want to say THANKS again to the friendly and helpful hosts, if we go to Gagra again, then only to you) Well, those who are looking for something to cling to will always find such moments. A few words about the rest in general: very beautiful nature, quite friendly and benevolent locals, no rampant crime, they didn’t meet any negativity, no one got us and didn’t breed us for anything, which was a pleasant surprise. In Gagra, as in all, in principle, resorts not only in Abkhazia, it is normal practice to drain Wastewater into the sea (the treatment facilities in the city are not the most modern), so go for a swim in the wilder part of the coast, towards Pitsunda. Having swum on the central embankment once, we regretted what we had done, so keep this nuance in mind;) Be sure to change banknotes of 1000 and 5000 in Russia, in Abkhazia only smaller banknotes are in use, sometimes you or the seller will have to run around with the exchange, which will take extra time. Excursions were taken on tour. firm, competition is high, prices in all agencies are the same by the way, if where a tour has fallen in price - it has fallen in price everywhere. Private traders are not much more profitable, and we decided not to risk it. I really liked the jeeping (Gegsky waterfall + Ritsa), the road to Gegsky by car is very ... "extreme", keep in mind) New Athos was taken primarily because of the cave (it's just a miracle, it's a pity that it's only strictly an hour and a half), I didn’t like the tour itself at all - at first, we didn’t personally need regular tastings of honey and wine, then “if you want, we’ll take you to the village of Lykhny, there is a temple, pay 200 rubles extra”, there were grandmothers on the bus who wanted to, of course, the whole group was taken .. Part of the group was on the bus, thanks to the driver for standing up and not turning off the air conditioner. Quite little time was allocated to the monastery and waterfall, which, like the cave, are the main ones along the route. We also took "Evening Gagra" - beautiful places, great views, the guide tells the history of the city in an interesting way. But keep in mind that at the same time the same tour is held for all tours. firms, there will be a lot of people, it will not work to take good photos, it was very disappointing with the Gagripsh restaurant, which was simply impossible to get to, and on the observation deck, where people with eagles and a parrot were not allowed to take pictures normally, actively vparivayut their photos. Yes, and quite a bit of time at each stop, so the impressions are blurred. It’s better to take a minibus during the day, and swim on the beautiful beaches of the old city and take a walk everywhere yourself;) You can’t help but note the duty free at the Psou checkpoint, I was very pleasantly surprised by the assortment, prices and extras. discounts of 15%. I liked the rest in Abkhazia very much in general, it doesn’t look like anything, I would love to repeat it :)

The houses, although they look new, require repair, namely the doors close with a huge! labor and creaking (if your child is sleeping inside, then you have almost no chance not to wake him up); 4. Annoying ants run around in the room and get into the food (I had to hang the food); 5. Pillows stuffed with feathers are awfully big and hard so that your neck will ache after the first night; 6. Blankets like in reserved seat cars! Horror!; 7. Laundry is paid, despite the fact that they have a washing machine (I had to argue with the landlords and especially with the maid Marina that for the fee charged, 6 people can be allowed to wash a couple of times); 8. Internet is very slow! Even the Yandex page is loaded for an hour! If you need to find something about where to go or go, talk on Skype with your family, then don't count! 9. Toilet paper at your own expense, except for the roll that you will be given upon arrival (keep them as a reminder of their generosity); 10. Dishwashing liquid also wanted to be forced to buy themselves, but changed their minds (so you can expect this if you go there); 11. The air conditioner in the room barely worked, and therefore in the very heat even the houses were sweating! At our requests (and not only ours), the condo was simply pulled out of the socket and put back in, which, as you understand, did not help. ATTENTION! BIGGEST MINUS: there was no ELECTRICITY regularly!!! And therefore, no light, no Internet, just like in the 90s. I do not know how it is in other places in Abkhazia, but I hope that this review will help you make an informed decision and relax on your vacation.
