What are the series of OSAGO policy. Types of OSAGO insurance. Insurance risks are considered

Cases of falsification of OSAGO insurance policies have become more frequent lately. In this regard, the Russian Association of Motorists (RSA), together with the government of the Russian Federation, decided to issue other forms. Let's consider the OSAGO policy of a new sample, its appearance, content, protective functions.

The information specified in OSAGO and the appearance of the policy

The most obvious difference between old and new car insurance is the change in color of the form. Previously, OSAGO was made in two tones with a predominance of green. Now "autocitizen" includes several different colors. From yellow, the policy gradually turns into pink-purple (see photo below).

The complex color design of the CMTPL of the new sample serves as additional protection against forgery.

Forms are made by Gosznak. All products of this organization provide for the presence of identification features that are difficult to fake. New policy OSAGO is manufactured with a high degree of protection.

The main characteristics of the current form:

    paper has a high density;

    around the entire perimeter of the document there is a micromesh protective ornament;

    the background image of the car is located in the center of the document;

    the presence of watermarks - when viewing the form in the light, you can see the inscription "PCA" and the image of the machine;

    on the form there is a metallized strip on both sides, next to it is the inscription "OSAGO", when viewed against the light, the word "policy" is visible;

    there is a unique QR code that allows you to find out all the information about the insurer;

    different fonts are used to complete different paragraphs of the document.

Document size is another way to protect it. It exceeds the standard A4 format by about 1 cm.

    Stamp of the insurer, which must have a logo, full name, addresses and phone numbers of the organization.

    A series of 3 letters and a digital document number. In 2019, all classic OSAGO forms are issued under the MMM, KKK series, EEE is valid (issued until July 2018).

    Under the name of the document, its series and number, there are two fields for entering the insurance period. In the smaller block (the first one), the date of the beginning and end of the contract is indicated. The second column (larger block) is provided to designate the insurance period (up to 3 periods).

    The first block of insurance contains information about the insured (his full name).

    The second paragraph should contain information about the vehicle and its owner. Here they indicate the make, model, VIN number, vehicle registration number, PTS or STS number and the name of the car owner. Also, according to the new requirements, in this column it is necessary to indicate the purpose of using the vehicle (personal, educational driving or commercial activity).

    The third column contains information about the drivers allowed to drive the machine. If unlimited insurance is issued, then a note about this is put in the corresponding field.

    Items 4-6 are filled in automatically and contain up-to-date information on the current insurance legislation.

    In the seventh block, the amount of the insurance premium is prescribed. In 2019, a table appeared in this section to indicate the coefficients.

    The eighth paragraph is intended for the insurer to make special notes regarding the concluded contract (for example, details of payment documents).

The final part of the document contains the following information:

    the date of the conclusion of the contract and the issuance of the policy;

    signatures of both parties (with decoding of the signature of the insurer);

    round "wet" seal of the insurance company.

The OSAGO policy may be invalidated if it does not bear the round seal of the insurer.

In addition, the policies of the new series differ from each other. In "KKK" on the back there is a table for indicating additional insurance contracts. MMM doesn't have it.

What does an electronic OSAGO policy look like?

According to No. 40-FZ, each insurance company must provide the opportunity to purchase policies online. In 2019, this feature is gaining more and more popularity due to the ability to save time on office visits and convenient ways product payment. Therefore, it is important to know what it looks like electronic policy OSAGO.

There is a difference with the "autocitizen" received offline. Insurance issued at the office and e-OSAGO are distinguished by the word "electronic" in the name of the document. In addition, e-OSAGO has a series of "XXX".

For a policy in in electronic format characterized by the absence of hidden and visually noticeable protective elements. The color doesn't matter either. You can print the form even on a black and white printer, and it will be legally binding.

Summing up

CMTPL policies of the new sample differ from the old forms by an enhanced degree of protection against falsification, the color of the document and the presence of a table for calculating the premium. The changes did not affect the insurance structure. Key differences between classic and electronic OSAGO consist only in the name, series and protection of the document.

According to Federal Law No. 40, a person purchasing a vehicle must insure liability to a potentially injured party. The law has been in force for over 10 years.

Dear readers! The article talks about typical solutions legal issues but each case is individual. If you want to know how solve exactly your problem- contact a consultant:

APPLICATIONS AND CALLS ARE ACCEPTED 24/7 and 7 days a week.

It's fast and IS FREE!

During this period, several types of OSAGO have been formed, which every motorist who is going to purchase a motor citizen should know.

We study the policy

By purchasing OSAGO, drivers are sure that they insure the car against accidents. However, this popular misconception is false. The policy is necessary to insure the liability of the driver to the injured party. If in the event of an accident the driver damages the property or health of another person, the insurance company will compensate for the costs. The amount of payments under OSAGO is regulated by law.

A person who has been in an accident will not be able to receive more than 160,000 rubles.

The maximum amount of payment is due in case of harm to human life and health. The total amount of payments under 1 policy during the year cannot exceed 400,000 rubles. Usually this amount is enough to fully cover the costs. If the limit is exceeded, the person will have to compensate for the damage on their own.

The policy is binding document, which every driver must purchase. If during the check the traffic police find out that the motorist has neglected the rules, a fine will be imposed on him. The amount of the penalty is 800 rubles. If a person does not want to spend extra money, he must conscientiously comply with the requirements of the law.

Appearance OSAGO

Insurance companies over time, the appearance of OSAGO changes. This is necessary to ensure the protection of car owners from unscrupulous companies that sell fake documents.

Today, the distinguishing features of OSAGO include:

  • pink letterhead;
  • the presence of a metal strip;
  • watermarks that appear when checking for light;
  • relief series and document number;
  • the presence of villi, which are noticeable upon careful examination of the paper.

The document can be filled out both by hand and using a computer. The paper should not contain blots and errors. Their presence makes the policy invalid. An insurer who finds information in the form that does not correspond to reality will refuse to pay compensation.

Varieties

Today, types of OSAGO can differ significantly from each other.

Allocate policies:

  1. with restriction. The document differs from other varieties in that the owner, who has chosen the paper, is obliged to enter information on the number of persons allowed to drive a car into the OSAGO form. You can enter up to 5 people on the form. In the form, you must indicate not only the names of the drivers, but also the numbers of their rights. Based on the data, the insurance company will study the driving history of each person and indicate the cost of the policy. It can vary significantly depending on the number of accidents that each driver has experienced.
  2. No limit. The policy is more expensive than the previous one. The document does not contain a list of persons admitted to transport management. The paper suggests that a wide range of people can drive a car. This increases the likelihood of an emergency. For this reason, the insurance company increases the price of OSAGO.
  3. Paper. A policy printed on paper is a classic type of OSAGO. The insurance company provides the driver with a form that contains information about the vehicle and other nuances of interaction. A person can always take the form with him. This simplifies the interaction with traffic police officers. Today, however, cases of counterfeit OSAGO have become more frequent. For this reason, car owners are beginning to look for an alternative option for acquiring a document.
  4. Electronic. Modern technologies have penetrated into all spheres of human life. Auto insurance is no exception to the rule. Today, you can buy OSAGO without leaving your home. Interaction with the insurance company is carried out via the Internet. The driver will not receive the usual form, however, the data on the purchased insurance will be entered into the PCA database. Cooperation with the traffic police is somewhat more complicated. workers today government agency can check the availability of an electronic policy on the PCA database. However, the driver must provide insurance details to complete the action. If he fails to perform the action, traffic police officers may impose a fine for not having a policy. For this reason, experts recommend carrying a printout of an electronic document in the car.
  5. Tourist. OSAGO is also required outside the country. However, the classic policy is not valid outside the state. For this reason, insurance companies offer the driver to purchase travel insurance. The document is issued for a period up to 20 days. You need to pay extra for it. By purchasing a travel policy, the driver will protect himself from possible fines and other misunderstandings that could occur when a lack of insurance is discovered.

All policies, except for travel, may vary in terms of validity. A person can purchase a policy for a period of 3 to 12 months.

There is a seasonal OSAGO. Paper saves money if the driver only uses the vehicle for a certain period. For accident-free driving, you can get a discount on insurance. But only the period, the duration of which exceeds 10 months. If the driver has purchased insurance for a shorter period, it will not be taken into account when forming the price of the service package.

Registration of insurance by individuals and legal entities

Regardless of who owns the car, the vehicle must be insured. However, the registration of OSAGO can vary significantly depending on the status of the owner of the transport.

The main nuances of the operation include:

  1. Policy period. If individuals can purchase OSAGO, the validity of which varies from 3 to 12 months, then for companies the minimum threshold has been increased to 6 months. The maximum duration of the insurance does not change.
  2. Number of drivers that can be included in the policy. While individuals can save on insurance costs and opt for the limited option of allowing no more than 5 people access to a vehicle, organizations do not have that option. For them, insurance companies always provide a policy with unlimited access to management.
  3. Compensation limit. For 1 incident, a person, regardless of his status, can receive no more than 160,000 rubles. However, insurance companies do not set an annual payment for agencies. So, if an individual can receive no more than 400,000 rubles in 12 months, the settlement with the company will be made according to the total number of incidents. For each insured event, the company can count on maximum size payments.
  4. Trailer insurance. According to Government Decree No. 938, a trailer is recognized as a vehicle and needs to be state registration. For this reason, it is subject to almost the same rules as a car. If the vehicle for the carriage of goods belongs to a legal entity, the type of transport is subject to compulsory insurance. The provision does not apply to ordinary citizens. If an individual uses a vehicle with a trailer, he can insure the vehicle for the transport of goods at his own request.
  5. Policy cost. The current legislation prescribes a special way of forming the price of the policy. Insurance is affected by tariffs and coefficients. User status also contributes. The price of OSAGO for legal entities is much higher than a similar package of services for ordinary citizens. The cost of insurance is affected by the lack of restrictions on the number of drivers. Service providers believe that the likelihood of an insured event for company-owned vehicles is higher. The absence of restrictions on the amount of annual payments leads to the fact that insurers significantly increase the cost of OSAGO.

The differences depend only on the status of the person. It will not be possible to avoid changing conditions.

Policy types

Except compulsory insurance the driver can purchase additional service packages.

This includes:

  • OSAGO;
  • CASCO;
  • DSAGO.

Some drivers believe that these are 3 types of OSAGO. They are almost right.

Service packages are very similar, however, CASCO and DSAGO do not need to be purchased at without fail.

Tariffs significantly expand the list of OSAGO options, but they are not able to replace it. By purchasing DSAGO, a person will increase the limit of liability for an incident. The package of services implies a larger amount of payments.

If the driver is involved in a serious accident, he will be able to count on compensation up to 3,000,000 rubles.. At the same time, the cost of the service package itself is low. A person will have to pay 1-5 thousand rubles. Experts recommend issuing DSAGO for drivers with little experience or residents of megacities. The heavy traffic of large cities increases the likelihood of an emergency.

OSAGO applies to complete list possible incidents. So if the car is stolen, the owner vehicle will not be able to claim compensation for the damages suffered. For such situations, CASCO is provided. The policy is more expensive, however, protects the owner's vehicle from a full list of accidents. The driver himself can choose the list of services that he wants to purchase.

However, car enthusiasts who only insure a vehicle against theft without buying an accident protection package are viewed with distrust by companies. Organizations are under the impression that the driver can cause damage to property on his own in order to obtain compensation. For this reason, it is better to purchase CASCO, which provides a full range of services.

The abbreviation stands for OSAGO as compulsory motor third party liability insurance.

The OSAGO policy does not insure your car, it insures your liability to the injured party.

This means that in the event of a traffic accident in which you became the culprit, your insurance company will compensate the injured party for damage to health or property.

In the reverse situation, when you are the injured party The damage caused to you is covered by the insurance company responsible for the accident.

However, it is worth remembering that OSAGO payments are regulated, and if the cost of the damage caused exceeds the limit of OSAGO payments, then the rest of the debt the culprit of the accident pays from his own wallet.

OSAGO policy is a mandatory document A must have for every car owner. In the absence of compulsory insurance, the owner of the vehicle may face a fine. For a positive inspection and registration of the car with the traffic police, you also cannot do without an OSAGO policy.

The cost of an OSAGO policy can vary significantly. Its price is influenced by factors such as the possibility of an accident (a city with heavy traffic or a small driver's experience increases this probability) and the cost of the car.

Varieties

Today, OSAGO insurance can be issued in two types:

  1. Restricted policy. In a policy with a restriction when issuing a document limited number of people(maximum five can be entered) who have the right to drive this car.

    For driving a vehicle by a driver who is not included in the OSAGO policy for this vehicle, a fine may be issued.

  2. Policy without restrictions. If you choose this option for issuing a policy, then the number of persons entitled to drive this vehicle has no restrictions.

There is a noticeable difference in the cost of these types of OSAGO policies, limited insurance costs less.

In terms of validity, the types of policies do not differ: both the first and the second can be issued on 3, 6 months or a year.

For car owners who use the vehicle only in a certain season (most often summer), it is possible to issue a seasonal OSAGO policy.

Payout limit

Coverage for damage resulting from an accident- this is the main task, which is decided by the OSAGO policy.

The amount of compensation that participants in an accident can count on is strictly regulated.

There are two types of compensation: property compensation i.e. vehicle repair, and health benefits.

The first type of compensation has the following limitations:

  1. If there are two participants in an accident- the payout limit is 120 thousand rubles.
  2. When three or more objects are involved in an accident the limit is 160 thousand rubles for all participants.

Limitation of compensation for health and life: each victim in a traffic accident can count on payment of up to 160 thousand rubles.

In addition, every car owner should remember that under one OSAGO policy, you can pay an amount not exceeding 400 thousand rubles. In most situations, such amounts are quite enough to cover all the damage caused, in other situations, the difference will have to be paid. to the culprit of the accident on one's own.

For individuals and legal entities

Regardless of which person - natural or legal - is the owner of the vehicle, OSAGO policy is issued without fail.

The difference between individuals and legal entities is concluded in the cost of the policy and in the procedure for issuing. When issuing OSAGO for legal entities, there are some peculiarities: some additional documents may be required.

We note the main differences in the procedure for issuing OSAGO for individuals and legal entities:

  1. Validity of the OSAGO policy. For individuals minimum term validity of the OSAGO policy - 3 months, maximum - 12 months. For legal entities, the minimum term is 6 months, the maximum is also 12 months.
  2. Number of people who have the right to drive a vehicle legal entity is always unlimited, while for an individual this restriction can be. If an individual has a policy with restrictions, then the vehicle can be driven by no more than 5 drivers.
  3. The compensation limit is not set for the duration of the policy but for each traffic accident. Thus, in case of repeated accidents, a legal entity can each time count on full compensation for damage.
  4. If the vehicle has a trailer, then in the case of a legal entity, it must be insured. For an individual doing so is optional.
  5. The basic vehicle insurance rate for a legal entity is higher than for an individual.

Types of insurance policies

In addition to compulsory motor third party liability insurance the car owner can conclude various options voluntary types insurance: CASCO (complex car insurance) and DSAGO ( voluntary insurance civil liability of vehicle owners).

The most important task of the DSAGO policy is to increase the limit of liability for a traffic accident that happened through your fault.

If you get into a serious accident involving an expensive car, then the amount of the OSAGO payment is clearly not enough to compensate for the damage to the injured party.

DSAGO policy allows you to increase the compensation limit up to 1-3 million rubles despite the fact that the cost of the policy itself is very small - 1-5 thousand rubles.

There are a number of cases for which OSAGO insurance does not apply.. First of all, this concerns the theft of a vehicle and various kinds of damage caused to the car.

For such situations, a CASCO policy is issued. It is possible to issue a partial CASCO, in which case only situations of damage to the car are insured, but not its theft.

To desire insure the car against theft without the desire to insure it against damage Insurance companies are usually treated with great distrust.

The cost of a CASCO policy is influenced by a huge number of factors, and choosing the best insurance program is quite difficult even experienced drivers.

It takes into account the cost and brand of the car, experience, age and gender of the driver, region of residence, vehicle power and some other factors.

Thus, having an additional auto insurance policy along with OSAGO, you can protect your car for all occasions.

The car is no longer a luxury: often it is a necessity dictated by the pace modern life. However, buying such a vehicle, its owner acquires not only a pleasant advantage, but also troubles, often costly - including car insurance. Therefore, every driver must understand why it is necessary to insure his car, as well as understand the variety of car insurance in order to make the right choice. Let's consider all these questions in the article.

Why you need car insurance

The number of cars on the roads is increasing, along with it, the number of accidents in which vehicles and people (drivers, passengers and pedestrians) can suffer. One such accident can cause significant material damage to the owner of the car. The big loser is both the injured party and the guilty party.

In such cases, auto insurance comes to the rescue. It is designed to protect the financial interests of the insured car owner. The insurance policy covers the material costs of repairing a car damaged after an accident, breakdown or natural disaster, or to buy new transport after the theft. Auto insurance also protects the interests of a third party affected by the insured car.

So, the objects of auto insurance can be 3 parties:

  1. A vehicle, truck or car, that has been damaged or stolen.
  2. The driver and passengers, or rather their life and health.
  3. The third person injured in the accident and their damaged property.

Compensation for such losses is very costly. The presence insurance policy facilitates and speeds up this procedure both financially and legally.

Did you know? It is estimated that the most dangerous time on the roads-night from Friday to Saturday: accidents more than 5 times more frequent.

Types of car insurance

The main types of auto insurance are compulsory - and voluntary -. Subjects of insurance: OSAGO protects the interests of third parties injured in an accident, their life, health and property. CASCO takes care of the car of the insured driver, his life and health, as well as passengers. There is also - compulsory insurance for those who travel abroad, and - voluntary expansion of CMTPL opportunities. Consider the types of basic auto insurance.

From theft and damage

CASCO protects against various types of damage and theft (Comprehensive car insurance, except for liability). The meaning of the abbreviation purely coincidentally coincided with the Italian word Casco (“helmet”), from which the name of this insurance came.

CASCO insures against all force majeure in which the driver and his car may find themselves, except for those cases that are compensated by OSAGO.

The following situations may be indicated in the insurance policy:

  • theft and theft;
  • an accident due to the fault of a third party or the driver;
  • vandalism;
  • fire and explosion;
  • natural disasters (natural phenomena, animal attacks, falling objects on the car).

CASCO insurance can be full and partial. A full range of services includes compensation for all possible types of damage and theft. Partial insurance only covers damage (no theft). The cost of policies is not fixed and is not regulated by the state - each insurance company sets its own rates. The price of the policy may depend on the age and experience of the driver or the age and specifications his cars etc.

Important! The insurance company will not pay damages if during the investigation it turns out that the driver violated traffic rules or was driving while intoxicated.

Third Party Liability Insurance

OSAGO - obligatory motor third party liability insurance. This is the most common type of insurance, as the conclusion insurance contract is a mandatory requirement for all car owners, provided for by the legislation of the country. Without an OSAGO policy, a driver does not have the right to drive his car, undergo a technical inspection and become registered. Failure to comply with this requirement is punishable by a fine.

The subject of OSAGO is not the insured driver, but the damage that he caused to third parties (their health, life and property) during an accident. But if the driver himself or his car was injured in an accident, he will not receive compensation. To do this, he needs to take out other types of insurance.

You can buy an OSAGO policy at any insurance company. Tariffs are the same everywhere, as they are set and regulated by the state.

The cost of insurance varies depending on the characteristics of the car and its owner, such as:

  • make, model and age of the vehicle;
  • engine power;
  • age and driving experience of the owner;
  • region of residence;
  • previous insurance payments etc.

The price of OSAGO is much lower than the cost of CASCO, but in the event of an accident, this payment may not be enough to cover the damage caused, and the driver will have to pay the rest on his own.

From mechanical and electrical breakdowns

Not all cars get into an accident or get damaged during natural disasters. However, absolutely all cars break down sooner or later. Car enthusiasts spend a lot of money every year on the repair of their vehicle.

In America and Europe, for more than 25 years, motorists have been actively using the extended warranty for various breakdowns of their cars. This service is provided by both manufacturers and insurance companies. In the CIS countries, this type of insurance appeared quite recently. But not all insurers enter into such insurance contracts.

An extended warranty is a vehicle insurance against various kinds of breakdowns. It comes into effect when the main warranty period has already expired. Companies provide different options for insurance contracts. They differ in terms of warranty extension (up to 3–5 years) and a list of repair services provided free of charge by service centers.

The cost of the insurance policy is also affected by the characteristics of the car:

  • make and model;
  • year of issue.

Some insurance companies are ready to insure even used cars. But they must meet the following criteria:

  • age up to 7 years (sometimes up to 10 years);
  • mileage up to 160 thousand km (in some companies - up to 200 thousand km).

The extended warranty does not apply to public transport vehicles (e.g. ambulance) and sports cars (rally participants).

Important!The policy is issued not for the owner, but for his transport, therefore, when selling a car, the extended warranty passes to the new owner.

Accident insurance for drivers and passengers

Neither the mandatory "avtocitizen" nor the voluntary CASCO take into account accidents in which the driver himself or his passengers were injured. To do this, you need to take out voluntary accident insurance for drivers and passengers. This type of insurance can be purchased in combination with those listed above: it will cover the costs of treating persons injured in an accident, protect the driver guilty of an accident from embezzlement, and allow you to quickly resolve the conflict without litigation.

The subject of insurance may be:

  • vehicle driver;
  • passengers;
  • driver and all passengers.

Insurance risks are:

  • temporary disability;
  • getting by one of the insured persons a disability or aggravation of an already existing injury;
  • death of the driver or passenger.

There are two systems for concluding insurance contracts:

  • lump-sum, in which the total sum insured for the vehicle is indicated, from which the injured insured persons receive their share;
  • according to the principle of seats, when a specific amount is determined for each seat.

Payment rules are set by insurance companies, so rates may vary.

Did you know? Statistics show that the most calm drivers are people over 35 years old. And young people (under 25) often drive very carelessly and aggressively.

Types of OSAGO insurance

Issuing an OSAGO policy is a mandatory requirement for each car. But the circumstances in which the vehicles are used are different, so there was a need for insurance contracts with different conditions suitable for different machines.

All types of OSAGO policies are divided into two groups according to the following criteria:

  • by the number of drivers driving one car;
  • by the duration of the contract.

With or without restrictions

By the number of drivers who are allowed to drive one car, there are 2 types:

  1. Limited insurance. The contract indicates a limited number of drivers (their names and driver's license numbers are entered) who are granted the right to drive this car. Allowed maximum is 5 people. If someone whose name is not on the policy is driving, you will have to pay a fine.
  2. The policy without restrictions allows any driver with rights to drive a car.. In the event of an accident, his liability will be covered by insurance.

A limited insurance contract is cheaper and suitable for a family car. But a policy without restrictions, despite the high price, is a suitable option for companies where many employees use one car.

By deadline

All drivers with different activity use their cars. Some drive all year round, while others only drive at certain times of the year (for example, summer residents drive only in spring and summer). Each of them can choose a tariff that suits the timing so as not to overpay. There are 3 policies to choose from, differing in terms: for a year, for six months and for 3 months.

Classification and payout limits

The amounts of cash compensation for CASCO and other voluntary insurances differ, as they are set by insurance companies. In contrast to them, the limit for OSAGO payments is determined central bank and is the same for all insurers.

There are two types of damages:

  • on property, most often a car damaged in an accident;
  • on the health of the injured third party or several persons.

The insurance company allocates 160 thousand rubles for the treatment of third parties. The maximum payout under one policy is 500 thousand rubles.

The coverage limit for property damage depends on the circumstances of the accident:

  • in the event of a collision of 2 cars, the injured party will receive 120 thousand rubles;
  • if 3 or more cars collided, compensation will be 160 thousand rubles. on all victims.

Limit maximum payout to cover damage under one policy does not exceed 400 thousand rubles. If the compensation does not cover all the damage, the insured driver will have to pay extra with his own money.

How to get car insurance right?

To receive insurance payment after an accident, you need to act immediately after the incident. First you need to decide whether to call the traffic police.

Drivers can do without the help of traffic police officers if:

  • no one was hurt or killed;
  • no more than 2 cars were involved in the accident;
  • the damage caused does not exceed 100 thousand rubles;
  • drivers can draw a diagram of an accident without outside help and fill out a Europrotocol form.

In other cases, you should immediately call the highway patrol.

If it was decided to act independently, you must follow this order:

  • take detailed photographs of the accident site from all sides;
  • after that, you can remove cars from the road;
  • fill in the Europrotocol form (notice), including the road accident scheme;
  • the injured person takes the completed notice to the insurance company of the guilty driver.
Further, it will only be necessary to wait until the insurer considers the submitted documents and decides on the amount of payment.

Important! You should contact the insurance company for compensation within 5 days after the accident.

Judging by the reviews of experienced motorists, it is advisable to issue not only a mandatory “autocitizen”, but, if possible, additional auto insurance. This will help you feel more relaxed behind the wheel and not worry too much about your car, as well as other possible damage.
