Visa virtual bank cards. Debit virtual cards: TOP of the best. How the virtual card works

Of the largest domestic credit organizations only a few have developed their own virtual debit cards. Previously, this segment was densely occupied by electronic payment systems. The popularity of the product is the reason why banks are gradually joining this trend.

What is a virtual debit card

When issuing a standard debit card, the client is given the card itself (physical carrier) linked to the debit account. Funds are placed on the account, while the card itself plays the role of a tool for carrying out operations: transfers, replenishment, payments, and so on.

In the case of virtual or electronic debit, the client does not receive the card itself. Registration is limited only to the provision of an individual account by the bank.

After opening an account (virtual card), the owner can make transactions with his own funds, without a physical medium. But the use of such cards is associated with some differences with the usual mechanism.

How to use a virtual debit card

Before applying for the design of any banking product, the applicant studies the conditions for its provision and the rules of use. The description of any virtual machine states that it can only be used to pay for goods in online stores. There are cards on the market that offer more advanced functionality, but so far these are “raw” projects that will start working in a few years.

The absence of a physical medium makes it impossible to make purchases in offline stores, where payment terminals only accept plastic cards. The same applies to any other attempts to pay with an electronic card - this is not possible by default.

Such cards are not issued in the form of basic ones, since their use implies a lot of restrictions. When applying for registration, applicants must understand in advance that a virtual card can only be used on the Internet, and mainly in online stores. With its help, you can purchase goods, pay for almost any services, replenish the balance on various gaming platforms.

5 steps to make a purchase

Purchases are made by almost all the usual mechanism. After issuing the card, the user is provided with its number, security codes, expiration date. This data is enough to make purchases in any online stores.

  1. The client visits the store's website, selects the required product and proceeds to the final payment page for the product.
  2. In the appropriate fields, enter the card details received after registration.
  3. After clicking on the “pay” button, the transaction is transferred to the bank, which sends a secret password to the phone number linked to the contract.
  4. The received password / code is written in the confirmation field of the transaction.
  5. The operation is completed and the money is debited from the open account.

A virtual debit card is issued as a registered or non-registered one. It all depends on the wishes of the applicant. It is recommended to receive debit electronic cards, as some online sites only work with this type of card. The degree of identification does not affect the issuance period - both cards are issued upon application.

To start using an electronic card, you need to transfer your own funds to the account. It is allowed to use payment terminals, ATMs, electronic wallets, third-party accounts and cards for these purposes. In addition, you can transfer money to a virtual card through a bank cash desk or communication stores. There are enough options, so there are no problems with replenishment.

After the funds are credited to an open account, they can be used for their intended purpose. When making transactions, it is necessary to pay attention to the possible commission from banks. If the user has a credit and virtual debit card of the same bank, then replenishment operations at the expense of own funds will not be subject to commission.

The issuance of cash by electronic card is excluded by itself. If the funds were received on the card, then they can only be paid in the online store or on online platform goods and services.

How to get a virtual debit card

The product is relatively new, so a limited number of offers are available for now. Registration is carried out only online, which is quite logical, since it does not provide for the issuance and use of physical media. You can order an electronic card on the official website of the issuing bank, or through the partner channels available to the bank.

Registration does not take several minutes. This is one of the advantages of this kind of cards. In most cases, it is enough for the applicant to call the phone number or fill out a short form with personal details. This is a virtual debit card, so apart from age and Russian citizenship, there are no requirements here.

Data and information for the successful use of the card are sent to the client in an SMS message. Before this, an electronic contract is concluded, which specifies the rules for using the card, indicates the amount for the annual service and the validity period of the card (agreement).

The electronic card does not require activation and is issued without a pin code. Everything you need to use it is already available: holder details, expiration date, CVC codes, number. This data is enough to purchase a product or pay for a service in an online store. Registration and all operations on the card are performed only using the number mobile phone specified in the application. The use of other numbers is not provided.

Here you need to take into account that the validity period of a virtual debit card is shorter than for standard cards. In most cases, the validity period does not exceed 1 year. Some proposals provide for more long term- up to 2 years. Per Issue electronic card banks don't charge. Annual maintenance paid according to the established tariff. Virtual card fees are much lower than standard debit cards.

Best Virtual Debit Cards - List of Offers

Given that the use of funds is only available for making purchases in online stores, there is not much difference in virtual debit cards. There are also virtual credit cards, which you need to choose more selectively. For debit cards, the main selection criterion is the issuance fee and annual service fee.

The service should also be as convenient as possible. SMS messages with a password should arrive without delay at any time of the day. When necessary, the client gets access to his own funds to make a purchase.

All of these criteria are present in our rating of bank offers:

  1. QIWI card (QIWI Bank) - no issue fee and annual service fee.
  2. Online card (Post Bank) is a completely free card with instant issuance.
  3. The Yandex.Money card is a free card, for which you need to have an identified wallet of the system of the same name.
  4. Virtual card (Promsvyazbank) - issued and serviced free of charge.
  5. WebCard (Gazprombank) - the cost of opening is 80-160 rubles without charging a service fee.
  6. Virtual card (Alfa-Bank) - the cost of opening is 49 rubles without charging a service fee.

Each of these cards opens instantly. The validity of each of them is limited to 1-2 years. Electronic debit cards are subject to renewal upon expiration.

: For virtual cards, an action is also provided bonus programs, therefore, the main differences from plastic cards can still be considered the absence of a physical carrier, the impossibility of withdrawing cash Money, lack of functionality for making expenditure transfers. Therefore, such cards are issued in conjunction with standard ones - debit or credit.

Some banks and electronic systems offer citizens to open a virtual debit card. Often this is a VISA Virtual and Mastercard Virtual payment instrument, which does not have a physical medium and is actually a set of numbers, due to which it is issued instantly. With its help, the holder can make non-cash purchases via the Internet, purchase and book tickets, hotel rooms, etc., while securing his funds and card from compromise.

You can open a virtual card through remote banking services: online banking, at a terminal, at an ATM, or by visiting an office. A similar service for issuing a virtual card is provided by electronic payment systems and online shopping sites.

Virtual cards are issued in rubles, euros and US dollars. They can be single use or reusable. It is important that there are no virtual credit cards, it is a prepaid, that is, pre-replenished, debit card, designed for a narrow list of transactions.

The card has no physical carrier and no PIN code. But at the same time, it has full details necessary for online transactions: number, full name of the holder, expiration date, CVV-2 or CVC2 code. Although some banks may also issue plastic, it will not be equipped with a physical medium and will not be suitable for offline transactions or cash withdrawals. But many online stores accept payment with virtual payment cards: the client selects a product, indicates the details of the debit card, and makes a purchase.

Virtual payment card security

Research by Group-IB, a company specializing in the investigation and prevention of cybercrime, revealed that the theft of money from them has become a common phenomenon and only last year has tripled. In 2016, daily thefts from customer accounts were recorded. Approximately 25 thousand rubles with the use of Trojan-type viruses for personal computers, about 1.4 million rubles with the use of Trojans for Android. This is not the limit, as criminal technologies will only improve.

Another way to deceive consumers is the use of phishing sites that masquerade as popular brands or online trading platforms. When you get to such a site, the client's payment card data is read. And in the future they are used at the discretion of scammers.

An effective way to reduce the risks of fraud and theft are virtual cards, which have a shorter validity period compared to plastic counterparts, a limited cash limit, and a narrow range of available transactions. At the same time, they are protected by CVV-2 or CVC2 codes.

Issuing and receiving a virtual card

Virtual cards are issued in one of the following ways:

  • in online banking. By pressing a few buttons, an existing client can order a payment instrument and get its details in your personal account;
  • at an ATM or bank terminal. In this case, the client receives a printout with card details;
  • in the office. This variant is rare;
  • on the website of the payment system.

How does a virtual card work?

It can only be used to pay for goods and services on the Internet. Often virtual cards are used to perform one-time transactions. For example, a person does not want to “shine” his permanent debit or credit card and, for security purposes, creates a virtual one by putting the required amount on it. After making the payment, the payment instrument can be closed immediately. You can issue a virtual card as many times as you like. Moreover, many issuers offer registration of two or more products in different currencies and for different payment systems.

The card is serviced by the Visa or Mastercard system, so any online store will accept it for payment. Payment for the purchase occurs according to the same principle as when using a plastic counterpart:

  • the holder puts the product in the basket;
  • selects the payment method transfer from the card;
  • enters its details (number, expiration date, security code). If the card is not personalized, then the full name field remains empty, in other cases the first and last names are entered in Latin letters.

For the operation, the client will be sent a one-time password. After payment, a check will be received. Then you can do with the card at your discretion, either close it or save it until the next online purchase.

Virtual card restrictions

When using virtual cards, a number of restrictions apply:

  • sometimes the bank offers such a card only as an addition to the main one;
  • the validity of these cards is from 1 to 6 months, less often up to a year;
  • replenishment restrictions can be set, for example, one-time upon receipt of the card and without the possibility of replenishing the account during use;
  • the bank may set limits on the amount and number of transactions per day/month/for the entire period of validity.

How to top up a virtual card

Replenishment occurs in the same ways as when working with regular bank cards. Most convenient option- transfer from card to card (с2с). If a virtual card is issued by the Yandex or Qiwi system, you can replenish it with a transfer from your wallet or “link” the card account to the wallet account.

You can also make a deposit through ATMs with the function of accepting cash, transfer money from any card through online services available to everyone. According to the card number, you can put money into the account through the points of the systems gold Crown, Unistream, Contact, Rapida and others. Full information about replenishing the balance should be obtained from the bank servicing the virtual card.

Often replenishment using remote services of the issuer is free. But when using third-party channels, a commission may be charged.

Who issues

To date, the virtual card has not yet become a mass product. And yet there is a demand for it, and it is growing. In particular, in Promsvyazbank only in 2017, the issuance of such cards increased three times, and the turnover on them by 17%.

But not only Promsvyazbank, but many other banks began to offer virtual cards to their customers. Of the 20 largest issuers, 8 banks make such offers. Among them are Alfa Bank, Russian Standard, Promsvyazbank, Post Bank, Gazprombank, Russian Agricultural Bank and others.

For some issuers, card issuance is free - these are banks Promsvyazbank, Post Bank, MTS Bank. The rest charge a commission for this service, which ranges from 20 to 160 rubles.

In most banks, a virtual card is available to existing customers who have a debit account or deposit. Less often, as in the ICD, a virtual card is available to borrowers. And only a few, for example, Russian Standard Bank, offer this product to clients "from the street", however, subject to the payment of a commission for the issue.

So that you do not have to transfer money from your wallet to bank card, spending money on forced commissions, it is enough to use a virtual card Qiwi Visa Card (QVC), created specifically for such cases.

What is a virtual card?

If the Qiwi wallet itself, as well as the plastic card issued to it, have become a familiar service for many Internet users, then the QIWI virtual Visa card is used by the minimum number of wallet owners. This is largely due to the relatively low popularity of online purchases compared to more familiar stores with terminals that accept plastic payments, including from the Visa QIWI Wallet payment system.

What is QVC for?

The virtual card was specially created for online shopping, because it performs the functions of a familiar plastic card and is accepted for payment by all online resources that cooperate with the Visa payment system. The balance of Qiwi Visa Card and Qiwi wallet are combined, which provides comfort when replenishing the card and simplifies spending control.

The virtual card issuer is QIWI Bank, which has all legal rights to issue such a payment instrument.

QVC has all the necessary details for making purchases and payments:

  • 16 digit number;
  • CVV code;
  • validity;
  • Owner's name.

QVC currency can be both Russian rubles and US dollars (USD). It is permissible to make payments in the amount of up to 40 thousand rubles.

Advantages

The Qiwi virtual card does not have a material carrier, so it does not need to be made and then wait weeks for delivery. QVC is created in the personal account menu. Sometimes it happens that even a virtual payment instrument is attacked by scammers, as a result of which the owner has to close it.

Security when paying with a virtual card

The Qiwi virtual card, or as it is called Qiwi Virtual Card, is designed to increase the security of paying for various purchases and services via the Internet. Many users fear that data entry real card, even if it is not directly tied to his bank accounts, can lead to the theft of funds by hackers.

This is partly true, because there are many malicious programs that use an interface similar to Personal Area Visa Wallet in order to steal the access password or at least the payment card details. By using new service you can put aside any concerns and freely enter virtual card data anywhere.

At the first suspicion that the resource is not bona fide, you can delete it and create a new one with unique payment data. This is what distinguishes the Virtual Card from its plastic counterpart.

The main advantage of Qiwi Visa Card in comparison with the usual "visa" is a multi-level security system. The details of the payment instrument can be found in only one way - by requesting them in your account on the website of the payment system.

At the same time, only part of the 16-digit number comes to the phone in the form of SMS - the rest of the numbers are indicated in the "Your cards" section.

Moreover, when making a purchase, you must specify special codes: a three-digit CVV security code and an authorization code sent by the system when making a payment. If you forgot them, find out the details using the instructions.

  2. Select your virtual card in the "Bank cards" section.

Moreover, a separate account is created for each, the owner, when using this form of payment, bears the risk only within the amount placed on the card used. Each card is valid for 2 months, after which it is automatically blocked. In terms of security, the card corresponds international standard Visa, for third-party services, is no different from the same plastic card.

Attention! Within a month, a user can reissue no more than 2 virtual Qiwi Visa Cards.

You can make a virtual Qiwi card in the section "Bank cards" your wallet. This automatically generates a number for the Virtual Card and a CVC code, which is sent as an SMS message to the owner's phone for security. The same can be done in QIWI terminals.

Next, we proceed directly to the purchase of a virtual card. Fill in the form fields, indicating the phone number of your wallet, the method of payment for the card (if there is one account on the wallet, then there will be only one way). In the "Amount" column, indicate the amount of money you want to see on your Virtual Card.

To get a virtual card, you need to buy it. At least 300 rubles or $10 will be deducted from your wallet balance when buying a dollar card. With one virtual card, you can pay no more than 30,000 rubles or $1,000 for 2 months of its validity. You can connect SMS informing about debiting funds for 19 rubles per month.

Before paying with a card on the Internet, you can always go to your Visa QIWI Wallet account and clarify the details. No fees are charged for servicing such a card, so you can buy two or more cards. Depending on the need for the amount of funds on each card, you can freely move money within the system.

How to use Qiwi Visa Virtual?

Unlike plastic, virtual cards (QVV) have one significant limitation - it cannot be used to pay in a regular store, even if it has a terminal. But on the other hand, it can be used as a means of payment on all resources.
The modern Internet provides many options:

  1. Payment of utilities, including satellite and cable television;
  2. Purchases in online stores of goods with home delivery or mail;
  3. The purchase of goods in retail chains that have ordinary stores in parallel, so you can do without plastic, for example, in case of its loss or expiration before receiving a new card.

To pay with a Qiwi virtual card, you need to use its details: the card number and security code (CSV) are the same as the plastic version, only unique, preventing attackers from gaining access to the total balance of your Qiwi wallet.

What is prepaid QVV Qiwi?

The multi-level security system for QVC is quite reliable, but it is not perfect either. For those users who are afraid to leave the details of a card linked directly to accounts, there is a special prepaid Qiwi card - Qiwi Visa Virtual (QVV).

Like Qiwi Visa Card, this tool does not have a physical form, and exists only in digital form. Its main difference from QVC lies in the limited validity period - the card ceases to be valid after 2 months. Those. this card has a separate balance from the wallet, which allows it to be used when paying for goods or services on suspicious sites. They created a card with the required denomination, paid and forgot about it.

The ability to choose a convenient currency is another difference between a prepaid card and a Qiwi Visa Card.

How to create a virtual Qiwi prepaid card?

Unlike a regular virtual card linked to a wallet, you will have to pay for a prepaid Qiwi Visa Virtual. The cost of the issue is 2.5% of the face value of the card. Getting it is easy enough.

  1. We open the "Bank cards" section on the Qiwi Visa Walett website.
  2. We are looking for Qiwi Visa Virtual in the list of payment instruments and click the "Get" button.
  3. Choose a currency and click "Buy".
  4. We fill out a special order form and pay for the service.

The minimum face value of QVV is 300 rubles or 10 US dollars. The maximum consumption is possible within 70 thousand rubles / 1000 US dollars.

Security and comfort of online payment

Virtual Card from Qiwi is fully functional for paying on the Internet, if the owner is used to making purchases through online services, as well as paying through them for most services. Thanks to this service, the QIWI wallet has become even more secure. It is much easier to re-order and receive a virtual prepaid card and make purchases without the danger of losing money.

For users who are accustomed to actively using the services of online stores, Qiwi Visa virtual cards have obvious advantages over conventional banking "plastic". At the same time, QVV differs from QVC in more high level protection and an extended payment limit, but you have to pay for these advantages.

Greetings, friends! Today I will tell you how to create a virtual QIWI card. I started it to pay in online stores: I used to use the plastic version of Visa, on which I kept funds for current expenses. But one day, after an attempted unauthorized access, all the money was almost withdrawn from her. Then I set limits for online payments, and for purchases I got a QIWI card. For this reason, I myself felt the "pitfalls": after reading the article, you will know about everything.

What is a QIWI virtual card: product features

A means of payment from an electronic system is a kind of account on which money is stored. The card is not issued on a tangible medium so you don't have to go to the bank or office to pick it up. The advantages of the option also include the following:

  1. The electronic system offers it free of charge for each user who has registered a wallet.
  2. You will make payments in any online store if it accepts Visa cards.
  3. The use of the product is completely safe. When making purchases on the Internet, you will not enter into the forms the details of the means of payment to which your salary is transferred.
  4. It is convenient to replenish virtual QIWI: terminals, ATMs, a card on a tangible carrier, communication stores and even the balance of a mobile operator are at your disposal.
  5. Management is carried out in a personal account, and you can enter it from a stationary device or a mobile gadget. Whether you want to change your PIN or view transactions, it's easy.

After I created a virtual QIWI wallet card, I began to distinguish between payments for online purchases and current expenses “in real life”. This benefited the budget and helped save money.

Disadvantages of a virtual card

There are also some disadvantages, because it is impossible to withdraw money from virtual cards at ATMs. They are only suitable for online payments: you will not be able to make a purchase in a regular store or pay for a hotel room, even if you made a reservation via the Internet. The disadvantages include the presence of limits, because after they are exceeded, the card will be useless.

Types of QIWI cards

On the web you can find information about different types virtual instruments, but in 2018 many options are outdated. Even if you have used the system in the past, check the current situation.

Features QIWI Visa Virtual

The payment system issued QVV, but from 26.02.2018 their sale was stopped. It is also impossible to replenish the created cards, and this applies to both dollar and ruble options. But other QVV operations are available to holders: their validity period remains unchanged. True, it will not be possible to reissue QIWI Visa Virtual, so technical support advises switching to QIWI Virtual Card.

QIWI Virtual Card: how to use it

The payment instrument is named "Virtual card with wallet balance". It will come in handy in the following cases:

  1. When making purchases on unverified sites, do not provide details plastic visa where you keep your money. Entering a virtual QIWI card number will not result in the loss of your basic savings.
  2. If you have forgotten the details of the plastic and cannot clarify them, you will not have to refuse the purchase. You will pay with a virtual means of payment.

The validity period is 2 years, after which you will make a reissue in your personal account. As for commissions, money is not written off for the creation and maintenance. If you make purchases in Russian online stores, then no interest is charged on transfers. But when shopping abroad, you will have to give 2,5% , and the sum cannot be less than 30 ₽. Also, money is charged for SMS informing: monthly payment amount to 29 ₽; replenishment is free.

The main drawback is that it is impossible to order a QVC card on a plastic carrier.

How can I create a virtual QIWI card

The advantages of the means of payment include its availability. You don't have to think about how to get a virtual QIWI card, as it is created automatically when registering a wallet. You will learn the details from the SMS delivered to the phone number to which you link the account.

To view card details, follow the steps step by step:

If you need details, but you did not receive them in SMS, click on the icon next to the QVC icon. From the drop down menu select "Get Details": 1 time per day they are sent free of charge. Click "Send" and the message will be sent to the linked phone number: it contains the card number and a 3-digit code.

How much does it cost to create a virtual card

The payment instrument is created free of charge and is valid for 2 years, after which you will reissue. It is important that 1 active card is allowed to be linked to the wallet.

What limits are set on the created QVC

The payment system introduces restrictions depending on the status of the wallet to which QVC is linked. Immediately after registering in the system, you will encounter the following restrictions:

  • you can store no more on the account 15 000 ₽;
  • the total amount of payments must not exceed 40 000 ₽.

If you have passed identification on the network, then the status will increase to "Main". You will keep up to 60 000 ₽, and the allowable amount of payments will increase to 200 000 ₽ per month.

According to the information on the site, the wallet owner with the status of "Professional" will receive the most profitable terms:

  • maximum amount to keep - 600 000 ₽;
  • there are no limits on payments and transactions.

But is everything as tempting as described on the official website? The problem is that the security service blocks even identified wallets with the "Professional" status. Naturally, the virtual instrument attached to them becomes useless. The situation is described in detail in the client's review, which will serve as a warning to you.

Experience with QVC Virtual Card

I used the electronic system for 5 years, passed face-to-face verification, started a virtual and plastic card. I didn’t pay attention to negative reviews on the network, I received a salary on QIWI (I’m a freelancer), I took and paid loans, I even kept savings for a car in my account!

On 07/09/2018, the wallet was blocked, and after talking with technical support, I was informed about the termination of the contract. The amount on the account remained rather big, it would be better if I kept it under my pillow! Technical support said that in order to receive the balance, you need to provide a package of documents, and without them the money will not be given to me. I had to borrow from friends in order to snatch my hard-earned money from scammers.

What I do not understand with such an attitude towards customers is the established limits. According to the rules, I can keep up to 600,000 ₽ on a virtual card. It turns out that the administration of the service can take such an amount for itself if the owner of the wallet for his own reasons does not provide them with a package of documents?

How to pay for purchases with a QIWI virtual card

Although storing large amounts on virtual media is not recommended due to unreasonable blocking, it is suitable for online purchases. How to pay for goods with your virtual QIWI card? Follow instructions:

The process is no different from using plastic payment instruments: it is enough to store SMS with the details received or write them down in a safe place. If you still have questions about how to create a virtual card in the QIWI system and pay for purchases, watch the video:

Problems when paying for purchases with a QIWI card

When using a virtual payment instrument, the following difficulties arise:

  1. Some online stores ask you to enter an authorization code. It is sent in a message to the phone number to which the wallet is linked. To receive SMS, first enter the card details in the form on the store's website.
  2. It happens that the online store rejects the payment. In this case, check the following: the availability of the required amount on the account and the correctness of the data entered. Sometimes the problem is that the site does not accept transfers from Visa. But practice shows that the reason in most cases is exceeding the limits or blocking the wallet, which was produced by the QIWI security system.
  3. You forgot your details and requested an SMS, but it was not delivered? Repeat the procedure later.
  4. You are offered to schedule a recurring payment, but you wonder what will happen if QVC runs out of money. There will be no problems, because you will receive an SMS with a notification that you need to replenish your wallet. If there are no funds in the account, the auto payment will be canceled.

The main difficulties begin if the store cancels the order for its own reasons. The QIWI website informs that in this case the payment goes into the Hold status and remains in it for 30 days. But practice shows otherwise, and users have to wait for a refund within 5-6 weeks. To avoid such a prospect, please contact the owners of the trading platform with a request to write a letter to the address [email protected] and notify that the amount reservation has been cancelled. If the online store has poor technical support, then tune in to a long wait: QIWI employees are inactive even after the declared 30 days.

Feedback on the use of the QIWI payment method

I used QIWI for more than one year, and there were no problems. I did not pay attention to negative reviews on the network until troubles occurred with my virtual card.

On July 28, 2018, I decided to make a purchase in a foreign online store. I paid with a virtual QIWI Visa and received a confirmation of payment from the seller. But after 20 min. a new cancellation message has arrived. I checked the account - the money was not returned. QIWI technical support reported that the payment is in the HOLD status. They advised me to write to the store administration; she did not answer.

Cursing the day I decided to create a virtual QIWI VISA card, I continued to write and call their support. I waited for the result for 4 days, during which I listened to stereotyped phrases. As a result, the money was returned, but ... after 46 days! I'm sure they were used for their own purposes.

How to replenish a virtual card and withdraw money

QVC is not intended for withdrawals: if you want to receive them at an ATM, order a payment instrument on a plastic carrier. But there will be no questions about how to replenish a virtual QIWI card. It is enough to put money into the wallet in payment system:

  • in the terminal without commission;
  • from a plastic card;
  • at an ATM;
  • Bank transaction;
  • from the account of the mobile operator.

The amount on the created card and wallet is always the same; to find out, check the account in the usual way.

How to find out the QVC virtual card number

It often happens that a user opens a QIWI virtual wallet without knowing about the automatic opening of QVC. SMS with card details delivered to the linked phone number, he does not save, and subsequently cannot pay for purchases. In this case, go to your personal account, find the "Bank cards" section; select the sub-item "My cards".

You will see a list of available payment methods, including a QIWI virtual card. But the details are only partially visible: this is done for security purposes, so that in case of unauthorized access, attackers do not spend your money on online purchases.

Holders of a virtual QIWI card ask how to find out the full number. To do this, click on the icon next to the payment instrument icon and select "Get Details". The delivered SMS will contain numbers that are hidden on the site with asterisks.

How to reissue a virtual QIWI card

To reissue a payment instrument, follow the link .

On the left side of the monitor, you will see the QVC icon and a list of available actions. Click Reissue.

Confirm the action and receive an SMS with new details. The old payment instrument is then blocked.

Alternative to QIWI Visa Card: plastic cards

Virtual media is used by those who make purchases online. For users who intend to withdraw money from ATMs or pay in ordinary stores, the electronic system offers plastic cards.

To see the list available options, go to your personal account. In the "Bank cards" section, select "Catalog". A list of options will appear on the monitor:

  1. Nominal QIWI PayWave, issued for 3 years, will cost 199 ₽. The pluses include free maintenance and replenishment. It is important that when paying in rubles in foreign online stores, you will pay a commission (2.5%). If you decide to withdraw cash from an ATM, then you will give 2% + 50 ₽.
  2. QIWI TEAM PLAY offered under similar conditions. The difference will be an interesting design and the ability to specify not a name, but a nickname.
  3. If you need an unnamed payment method, get regular QIWI card. You will have to pay 149 ₽ for it.
  4. Don't want to reissue your card often? Order QIWI PayWave+: it is valid for 5 years. It also has a stylish design.
  5. Nominal QIWI Visa Premium+ available to identified customers who have activated the Premium package. The service will cost 799 ₽ per year: you will receive extended cash withdrawal limits, free SMS notifications and fast service in technical support. True, practice shows that the answers of consultants, for all their promptness, will not please with content. Users of the system who have paid for "Premium", just like ordinary customers, face blocking. It takes 3-4 days to wait for answers from the security service.
  6. Installment card "Conscience" is designed for interest-free payments in stores, restaurants and other establishments of the affiliate network. You won’t be able to withdraw money from her: Conscience is released to encourage you to make purchases.

You will order a payment instrument on the site, indicating your full name and address. You will then be prompted to choose convenient way delivery. You won’t have to pay for postage, but courier services will cost 300 ₽. You can pay for the issue from a wallet in the system or from any card.

My personal experience with QVC

I used an e-wallet for 10 years and did not understand why there were so many negative reviews on the forums. Later I started paying for purchases in the QVC network and did not think about the bad.

The first “bell” sounded in real life when 35,000 ₽ disappeared from a friend’s account. He had 2 wallets, and the attackers withdrew money from both. At the same time, he noticed that 15,000 ₽ was missing from one account, and began to call technical support. He was offered to draw up a written appeal, but while a friend was talking on the phone, the rest of the funds were taken from the second wallet! At the same time, SMS did not come, and the security service, blocking accounts with or without reason, did nothing. Later, he was asked to write a statement to the police. Do you think the police will return the money that has already been withdrawn from the system through 10 QIWI accounts?

I drew conclusions and withdrew almost all the funds, leaving 700 ₽ for minor expenses. A month later, I tried to buy the game from an online store and pay for QVC online. There were difficulties with the transfer of money, so I contacted the support service. It turned out that a verified wallet with a 10-year period of use and frequent QVC transactions was blocked. When the attackers filmed tens of thousands, the security service was calm, but the purchase of the game seemed suspicious to her.

A few days later I received a letter in which I was notified of the termination of the contract. Can you imagine that a bank would allow itself such a step? And to receive the balance, they requested notarized documents. It is clear that notary services will cost more than 700 ₽. This means that QIWI will simply take my money. For myself, I concluded that it is better to go to the nearest bank and get a reliable means of payment. Whether you want to use QIWI Visa Card, decide for yourself.

QIWI virtual card: video

Conclusion

QIWI offers payment instruments issued on virtual and physical media. My experience of use has shown that the version on plastic loses to ordinary banking products. The security system often blocks, and it is problematic to resume access, and a percentage is charged for cash withdrawals. But the virtual instrument is convenient for online payments. The disadvantages include the same risk of chaotic locks and the disgusting work of technical support. But, if you do not want to go to the bank and get ordinary plastic, you can give QIWI a chance. Just listen to my advice: keep on QVC the amount that you don't mind losing.
