Background
The “Western Gate” is generally catastrophically unlucky. Back in 2002, the construction of this residential complex was started by the company " Social initiative", which soon went bankrupt. The money of equity holders is gone, the owner of the company Nikolay Karasev co-investors were accused of stealing money (moreover, in 13 regions of the country at once) and sentenced to 10 years in prison.
In 2006, the Babel CJSC ISK Enbiem, part of the NBM group, took over the baton and received VTB credit line for 5.5 billion rubles - for the implementation of the project. The site, meanwhile, was transferred to PIK Group Sergei Gordeev. In December 2016, PIK renegotiated equity participation agreements with the affected equity holders and committed itself to completing the construction of the Western Gate. But this company was not able to continue construction without problems. The management of Soyuz-Vozrozhdeniye Corporation, which previously acted as the developer and investor of the project, stated that it had become a victim of Mikhail Babel's bad faith and challenged the transfer of the plots by filing lawsuits against VTB, PIK Group and the Ministry of Construction of the Moscow Region.
On the real estate website cian.ru, the Soyuz-Vozrozhdenie corporation is currently listed as the developer, the deadline for the completion of the facility is the 4th quarter of 2017.

According to Moskomstroyinvest, 300 contracts of equity participation in construction have been concluded in Terletsky Park, and 72 people have been included in the register of affected citizens. Who will complete the project is still unknown.
