SCS CABLE ROUTES

When installing SCS networks in an office or at industrial facilities, SCS cable routes, as the most flexible, adjust to overall ventilation, heating, and even electrical routes. A typical solution for cable routes for most objects is as follows:

  • for the backbone subsystem of the SCS of the building (between server rooms and floors, for example), an interfloor channel is organized using a ladder-type tray;
  • within one floor, the main SCS route is built from a wire or perforated tray from a server cabinet, it is optimal to lay it as close as possible to the central axis of the object;
  • from the tray to the socket, the cable is laid in a corrugated pipe in the overhead space and in the cavity of the walls (for flush-mounted sockets), or in the overhead space and further along the wall in the cable channel.

WORKPLACES SCS

When installing SCS (LAN laying), the largest amount of work and materials falls on horizontal subsystem SCS. This is a point-to-point connection, each patch panel port to each port (outlet) in the workplace. Separate continuous cable. No breaks, no twists/adhesions/joints. All these mounting tricks are easy to detect SCS testing. And such a system cannot be certified and supplied for a warranty period of 25 years.

Depending on the architectural, planning and design solutions, workplaces are equipped with different type sockets with in a different way installation of SCS sockets:

  • Flush-mounted SCS sockets of the Valena Legrand type (most often installed in hollow plasterboard walls at a height of 20-25 cm from the floor);
  • SCS sockets for boxes like Mosaic Legrand (usually installed on the main walls at the height of the table top, or under the table, installing the box on the table itself);
  • SCS sockets for outdoor installation, not the most aesthetic, but perhaps the cheapest option;
  • manholes and columns for open spaces.

There is no fundamental qualitative difference between the types of sockets, and the choice is most often determined by the practicality of the solution at a particular facility and the wishes of the Customer.
