Tourism and travel are an integral part of the hospitality industry. Travel is the main theme of tourism. Tourism plays one of the main roles in the global economy, providing a tenth of the world's gross national product. This sector of the economy is developing rapidly and will become its most important sector in the coming years.
Tourism is one of the largest and dynamic sectors of the economy. The high rates of its development, large volumes of foreign exchange earnings actively influence various sectors of the economy, which contributes to the formation of its own tourism industry. The tourism sector accounts for about 6% of the world's gross national product, 7% of world investment, every 16th workplace, 11% of global consumer spending. Thus, today it is impossible not to notice the huge impact that the tourism industry has on the world economy.
There are many tour operators in international tourism. Such firms are represented on the market both in the form of small and medium-sized enterprises, and in the form of large corporations. It should be said that the business of tours and transtours is mainly medium and small business. However, as in any other market, the functioning of the international tourism market, the creation and dissemination of high standards of service and advanced technology are seriously influenced by large tourism companies and corporations. Along with hotel chains that have spread their branches and franchise enterprises around the world, large tour operators with their agencies in many cities and countries are also making a market policy. Independent associations of tour operators and travel agents also have a significant impact on the development of the tourism market.
Tour operator (tour operator) is an organization whose main activity is the organization of various types of recreation (beach holidays, sightseeing tours, skiing, exotic, extreme, etc.) in Russia and abroad. This activity includes a complete set of tours and the development of a range of services for tourists, the promotion and implementation of tours. The tour operator forms tourist packages, provides high-quality provision tourism services. The tour operator also calculates the prices for tours, taking into account all the necessary services - health insurance, transfers, travel to the place of rest, and transfers tours to travel agents for their subsequent implementation to tourists, providing information support for the process of implementing the tour.
One of these organizations is the tour operator "Pegas Touristik" - a brand with a worldwide reputation, which is known to every second person in our country and abroad. It is about him that I want to talk in this work.
1. History of creation
Pegas Touristik is one of the largest Russian tour operators. The headquarters is located in Moscow. The company was founded in 1994.
"Pegas Touristik" was created on the basis of investments of the main owner - Ramazan Akpinar. Initially, he collaborated with the Turkish company Infotur, but in 2005, due to a conflict, he broke off relations with it.
The company has its own receiving offices in Turkey, Egypt, Thailand, China and Israel.
The first direction that the company offered to its customers was Turkey. Both shop tours to Istanbul, the largest trading city in the country, and holiday tours to Antalya.
Two years later, "Pegasus" began to offer holidays in the Turkish ski resort Uludag, which is located near the ancient city of Bursa.
And three years later, tours to Marmaris, another Turkish seaside resort, as well as to Egypt, began to be offered. Since 1998, tourists have been successfully sent to the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh. Many Russians first got acquainted with the Land of the Pyramids thanks to Pegasus. There were so many who wanted to relax on the Red Sea that in 2003 a entity operating under the trademark "Pegas Turistik". A year later, the same companies appeared in Minsk, Ufa, Samara and Kyiv. And later - in Antalya and Kazan.
In the winter of 2004, the company for the first time began to send our fellow citizens to the Indian resort of Goa. A year later, the company's charter programs began in Thailand. In 2007, sales of tours to Vietnam began for the first time, where, as it turned out, there are also good seaside resorts and very interesting excursion programs. In 2008, everyone began to be offered trips to the Indonesian island of Bali, a paradise for winter holidays. In 2009, the company entered China on a large scale, offering customers tours to the tropical island of Hainan. Moreover, there were so many people who wanted to fly away on Pegasus packages that the island authorities allowed for the first time to open their own host company in China. In 2010, Pegasus opened sales to the Dominican Republic, Andorra and Spain. In parallel, for all these years, companies were opened in various cities of Russia and some countries (Thailand, Tunisia).
2011 turned out to be very "fruitful" when Pegas Touristik began offering tours with its own air transportation to Cuba, Israel, Mexico, the Emirates and even Kenya. For the first time, again, the company organized direct flights from Moscow to Mombasa, a Kenyan seaside resort, and to the Indonesian island of Lombok.
Today, the company offers vacation, travel and excursions in 19 countries to anyone who wishes. Companies under the trademark "Pegas Touristik" are open in 29 Russian cities, as well as Minsk and Kyiv. Flights are organized from 43 Russian cities. A little more than two thousand people work in companies under the Pegas Touristik trademark.

The main partner of the tour operator "Pegas Touristik" is a major airline "North Wind" or "Nordwind Airlines". In the summer of 2008, Pegas Touristik bought out 100% of Severny Wind LLC. I would like to thank Pegas Touristik for organizing a trip to Thailand. Everything is very prompt and professional. The trip, in fact, turned out to be individual with personal transfers and good 4 * hotels. I can afford a quality vacation, so I am picky about the quality of the services provided. All wishes for the hotel, its location, cleanliness and food were fully taken into account. The price / quality ratio is very decent, especially in Phuket. Dalar Resort Bangtao is located between the beaches of Kata and Karon, the beaches are 5-7 minutes away, though you had to go back a little uphill. Karon turned out to be cleaner and less loaded with both people and watercraft - they went to him. The entire infrastructure around the hotel is very developed - there are no problems with food and shopping. It takes 10-15 minutes to get to Patong by car. Taxi is quite inexpensive. In general, there was enough entertainment near the hotel, we went to Patong only once for a show and in shopping center. There is also enough local color, so everyone was satisfied.
Client 2: We were in the north of Goa, the Villa Theresa 3 * hotel, a good hotel with very friendly and smiling staff. Before leaving, I read a lot of negative information about Pegasus, from whom we bought tickets. Everything is completely wrong! From the trip there was one positive. At the travel agency, the manager strongly recommended going to this hotel, she said that we would like it, and we really, really liked it! We went to Palolem Beach (south), bought this excursion from Pegasus at the hotel, we drove on a comfortable air-conditioned bus, in the company of a pleasant guide, it turned out cheaper than local taxi drivers offer. We spent the whole day on this beautiful beach, it's just a pleasure to walk there! Were on Vagator beach, where the head of Shiva is carved out of stone, Dudsagar waterfall, spice plantation - just overwhelmed with emotions, everything is super! I will definitely return there. Thanks to the travel agent who advised us this tour.
Client 3: Rested last year in Spain, Malgrat de Mar. From the beginning to the end of the tour, the organization was excellent. There were no delays, extortion, etc. I traveled a lot on excursions from Pegasus with their guides - everything was excellent. Was in Nice, Monte Carlo, Andorra Port Aventura Sanremo. At the Maripins hotel, the staff is excellent, the room was with a sea view, although this was not specified when buying the tour. I read previous reviews and was surprised - none of the following has ever happened to me. This year again I'm going from Pegasus.
